Peak District Cottage

The owners had made many of the pieces themselves. Rather than treating these as incidental, I photographed them as part of the story of the space.

Interior photography of a holiday cottage in Tideswell, Derbyshire, where much of the character sits in the details. The owners had made many of the pieces themselves: hand-worked furniture, a kitchen island built from a fallen tree, objects from reclaimed timber and found materials. Rather than treating these as incidental, I photographed them as part of the story of the space: wider interior shots alongside quieter studies of material, craft and object. The resulting set communicates not just what it would be like to stay there, but the care that had gone into making it.
